JMF Hand Painted Kitchen The Cotswolds
This was a repaint of a paint finish that I achieved just over a year ago for James Mayor Furniture (JMF)... an unfortunate situation led to my clients needing a complete repaint of the Kitchen and Pantry in a short space of time. The original project, housed in a gorgeous, period Mill House in a picturesque Cotswold village was pretty extensive, covering a number of floors and many rooms - not only the Kitchen, in this instance, but also pantry, boot room, bedrooms, dressing rooms and landing furniture too. Take a look at the pictures below for a taster of some of the furniture that I also Hand Painted.
Being a Mill House, there is a stream running adjacent to the property - the source of the energy that used to drive the wheel to drive cogs and grinding stones etc. However, during a particularly rainy period the stream broke it's banks and completely flooded the ground floor of the property... resulting in the newly laid York Stone floor being scrapped and replaced... and also the water damage to the Kitchen and Pantry meant that it needed to be removed from site, repaired and reinstalled, I was then called in to repaint the entire Kitchen again.
It is testament to the remarkable build quality of JMF furniture that it was able to be salvaged at all.
I am extremely proud to be James Mayor Furniture's preferred Hand Painter!
