Hand Painted Kitchen Welshpool, Mid Wales
This Traditional Painter, Hand Painted Kitchen project was outside my usual geographic working area of the West Midlands; near Welshpool in the village of Guilsfield in Mid Wales.
Being sold oak doors and laminate carcasses, this kitchen was a great candidate for Hand Painting. My client was happy with the layout of her kitchen; it worked well and lets face facts, it would cost a lot of cash to replace it like-for-like... so, the worktops were replaced for a rather nice marble and I was asked to Hand Paint the units to bring them up to date.
The colour chosen was the equivalent of "White Tie" mixed into my preferred Tikkurila paint bases. After degreasing and dust-free sanding to prepare the surfaces, the paint was applied - 2 bases coats of Pegaprim Isofix and 3 top coats of Tikkurila Feelings Furniture paint (20% sheen).
New handles were fitted to complete the "new kitchen"... my client exclaimed that she was so happy; "I now have the kitchen that I've always wanted!"
The total cost of Hand Painting the kitchen units equated to approximately 10% of replacing them for new.
