Hand Painted Kitchen Solihull

Set near Dickens Heath, Solihull, West Midlands. This Hand Painted Kitchen (and Utility Room) project was quite a sizeable undertaking. \r\nOriginally installed ten or more years ago by our clients, this solid Maple kitchen was well maintained but showing a few signs of age and wear (aren’t we all!!!?). \r\nAs is quite usual, the layout worked well so altering the kitchen for a newer model would have been merely a straight swap, rather than a remodel of the whole layout… a costly exercise in itself. Whereas when we Hand Paint a kitchen, it is typically one tenth of the cost of replacing with a new kitchen… particularly when you consider that often new flooring and plastering is required if you go the replacement route!\r\nSo, our clients decided to ask us to Hand Paint, so keeping their existing kitchen, updating it with a fresh look to fit into their homes current paint scheme. Choosing a complementary colour, fitting new handles and creating a wonderful new bespoke kitchen.\r\nOur process to deliver a flawlessly Hand Painted kitchen is this; we thoroughly protected our client’s worktops and flooring with our premium grade lining paper. The kitchen units were dismantled and stored on our modular racking systems. All areas to be painted we degreased with our Professional degreasing products which not only remove grease, but also “key” the surface. We then use our “Dust-free” sanding system to produce a beautifully flat surface to paint.\r\nWe Hand Paint all surfaces with at least four coats of our preferred, furniture specific; two coats of an oil-based primer and two coats of a waterborne topcoat – our paint is manufactured in Scandinavian – be believe it to be the very best paint available, durable and scuff resistant.\r\nOnce the painting stage had been completed, we rebuilt the kitchen, installing new chrome plated solid brass handles to complement our fabulous paint finish.\r\nAs you will see from the photographs below, the kitchen looks almost unrecognisable – it has a beautiful low lustre paint finish that will last for years to come… our clients were delighted with their “new” kitchen and could not be happier with the colour choice.
