Hand Painted Kitchen Shrewsbury
This kitchen, in Shrewsbury, was originally installed in 1999, by the current homeowners - it was bespoke-made by a local joiner/cabinet maker and has given years of service to the household...Before painting could take place, all work surfaces were covered with high grade lining paper to protect them and the kitchen floor was also covered in the same material - in this case the floor was newly restored oak and the work surfaces a beautiful black granite.
Once we were happy that everything was protected, we got to work with degreasing and sanding with our "Dust-Free" sanding systems - striping the doors and carcass back to bare wood - preparation is key and we make sure that we spend time getting the project just right before painting
As this is a solid Maple kitchen, my preferred paint system is a shellac based high adhesion sealer/primer followed by waterbased top coats - tinted to my clients exact colour choice.
Once painting was complete and new door handles fitted, the kitchen was "handed back" to our clients, who were amazed by their "new" kitchen - once a little tired and perhaps dated, it now really does look every inch the bespoke beauty that it is!
