Hand Painted Kitchen Ombersley - Worcestershire
This Mark Wilkinson Furniture (MWF), Cooks Kitchen is around 9 years old and was originally Hand Painted by the manufacturer when installed... the build is in great shape and the layout still works well, but the paint finish required a little TLC.I was contacted after a referral from my client's friends... I Hand Painted their Kitchen in 2014, in Upton, Worcestershire. They were so pleased with the results that they recommended me to all of their friends and family!
The new colour was chosen – an equivalent to “Nantucket” – and away I went through my tried and tested system of “obsessive” degreasing and surface preparation with my Festool “dust-free” sanding kit.
Tikkurila Otex, high adhesion primer was selected for the base coats, tinted to the same colour as the top coat in order to start building the depth of colour right from the start… followed by Tikkurila Feelings Furniture Paint (20% sheen) for the top coats.
The new look for this MWF Kitchen is very slightly lighter than the original colour, but it suits it very well… my clients were delighted with their “new” Kitchen and look forward to enjoying it for many more years to come!
