We were initially contacted by our client via email to find if we felt that their kitchen would be a good candidate to Hand Paint – they submitted a number of photographs and information which allowed us to produce an accurate, all-inclusive quotation, within 12 hours of receiving their email.Our clients agreed to our quotation, but asked that we performed a site visit to look at details of the kitchen and also talk through the logistics of the project.
Once underway, we followed our routine of protecting all work-surfaces and flooring with Wallrock lining paper and undertook our thorough degreasing programme.
When the degreasing regime is complete, we emplyed our Dust-Free Sanding System, 99.9% dust free.
As the substrate is oak, we sealed and primed with Pegaprim Isofix tinted to the same colour as the topcoat, so that the depth of colour starts to be built from the first coat.
After priming (and sanding between coats), we applied two top coats of Tikkurila Helmi – our preferred finish coat… available in 10, 30 and 80% sheen levels.
New ceramic door furniture were fitted to complement the paint scheme and tahhhh-dahhhh… there you have it, a beautiful “new” refurbished kitchen, at a fraction of the price of installing new.
