Hand Painted Kitchen Newport - Shropshire
Newport, Shropshire was the location of this particular Hand Painted kitchen project – well, closer to Edgmond really… a gorgeous Victorian Villa in any case. Our clients had made a few sympathetic alterations and improvements during their time at the property and it looked incredible.The one area that was a little in need of some attention was the Clive Christian kitchen. Installed fifteen to twenty years ago, it was rather starting to show signs of age. Clive Christian kitchens are probably best known for their ornate, grandiose capitals atop fancy fluted pillars – none of which were evident here, just the Christian fish motif on the oven hood and wooden pelmets.
Build quality was good, as you would expect – this was the main reason that our clients didn’t rip the whole thing out and start over again. They searched the internet looking for “Kitchen Painters” and found us! Typically a Hand Painted finish will be approximately 10 times cheaper than replacement, you keep the quality kitchen that you already have and love and within two weeks you will get a “new” kitchen sporting a wonderfully flawless bespoke paint finish… little disruption, only one person on site, full use of your kitchen throughout the whole duration of the project!
Our clients clearly saw the benefits of a bespoke Hand Painted finish and asked us to undertake the project.
All of our usual floor/worktop protection, degreasing and dust-free sanding took place, we applied two coats of primer followed by two topcoats – expertly tinted, accurately to our client’s colour choice. New handles were supplied and fitted, the kitchen was reassembled.

Martin has transformed our kitchen.
We decided to have our varnished wooden units hand painted, rather than replaced, as they are well made and the layout is good.
