Hand Painted Kitchen Lower Broadheath - Worcestershire
We love to listen to Classical Music whilst we work (very quietly…), so when we were contacted with an enquiry to Hand Paint a kitchen in Lower Broadheath, Worcestershire – the village where Edward Elgar was born, we were excited to say the least… to further compound this, our client was a volunteer at the Elgar Birthplace Museum and Visitor Centre. Needless to say, our days, working upon this project, were filled with some very fine strains of music indeed.The project brief was to Hand Paint our client’s existing Maple kitchen in their chosen colour – bringing it up to date, rather than going to the expense and disruption of replacing for a new kitchen; less expense, less disruption and much more quality wood – they really knew how to build a kitchen when this one was installed!
We went about our tried and trusted routines of degreasing, dust-free preparation and priming, using only the finest materials; we never cut corners and use only the very best to ensure a truly remarkable finish for our clients.
By the way, we remove all doors and drawer fronts and paint all around – storing on our modular racking systems – these components receive at least 4 coats of paint in order to create our trademark flawless finish.
Our preferred topcoats of Tikkurila Helmi 30 were applied using Fox paintbrushes – designed and developed by us here at M J Guest Ltd. (the full range is available exclusively at www.mypaintbrush.co.uk)…
Once all kickboards, pelmets, coving, end panels, back panels and carcasses had been treated to the same system, we rebuilt the kitchen… replaced all handles and removed the protection that we had applied to the worktops and flooring.
Our clients could not believe the difference painting their kitchen units made to their kitchen dinner area – even their Yorkshire Terrier “Elizabeth” seemed impressed!
