Hand Painted Kitchen Kingsthorne - Herefordshire
Kingsthorne, also known as King's Thorn, is a village in Herefordshire, England, in Much Birch parish between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, adjacent to the A49 and A466 roads. The village lies 6 miles (9.7 km) south from Hereford and 22 miles (35 km) north-west from Gloucester. (Information from Wikipedia).We love our work – how could you not!?; we work for wonderful clients in beautiful parts of the world… each day we get to drive through outstanding countryside to carry out projects that have a positive impact on homes throughout the West Midlands.
This project was no exception; set high off a country lane, this home was quite tricky to find, but, wow! When we did, what a location!
Although a smaller kitchen, perhaps, we could see that it had massive potential. Before starting the project, the cabinets were varnished wood, after (see below), they were resplendent in four coats of, flawless, furniture specific paint.
To create this beautiful finish, we degrease, sand (using our dust-free sanding system), prime – two2 coats of shellac based high adhesion sealer/primer, sand, fill, two coats of water-based topcoat (sanding between all coats)… For more details of our approach, feel free to call for a chat!
This project was a complete delight – our clients were fabulous to work for; we were made to feel extremely welcome and enjoyed every minute of this project… we put a lot of love into our work; hopefully, this is evident in the photographs of this project – just look at the light pink interior of the glazed cabinet, fantastic for displaying our client's collection of antiques.
