Hand Painted Kitchen Hopwas, Tamworth
This project is a great demonstration of a previously Hand Painted Kitchen that had seen better days. My clients had this Kitchen installed by the Manufacturer some years back. Originally the Manufacturer's painter applied the first coats of paint... following on from this, my client's then had it painted by a "Hand Painted Kitchen Painter" a couple of years ago.His paint finish (which took 2.5 days to achieve!!!) left a lot to be desired - he obviously hadn't prepared it or degreased the substrate at all... as a result "Saponification" had occurred; thick greasy paint was literally falling off the units.
I thoroughly degreased and sanded back to the Maple substrate on all doors and carcasses, providing the perfect "key" for the necessary coats of paint. Tikkurila OTEX and Helmi 30 were applied in an equivalent colour to "Tallow", with a lovely 30% sheen level.
The finished project is gorgeous and will sit beautifully with the black marble work surfaces for years to come...

Not only were a a very personable and engaging person but the quality of your work was far above what I was hoping for. The preparation work from protecting and masking surrounding areas to the degreasing and dust free sanding of the units was way superior to anything I have seen before.
The paintwork looks more like a spray finish than hand finish - quite exceptional and nothing was left to chance and your attention to detail staggering and, what's more, my dog loved you.
