Hand Painted Kitchen Little Comberton, Worcestershire
Nestled in a corner location in the hamlet of Little Comberton, Near Pershore, Worcestershire, this Traditional Painter, Hand Painted Kitchen project is housed in a beautiful and substantial cottage.The house, recently acquired by our clients, has a very sweet and quite well worn kitchen, installed by previous owners… as is so often the case with our projects, our clients wanted to get the maximum from their budget and decided to rework the existing kitchen, rather than have to contend with the disruption and additional cost of replacing with a new.
We were called in to give a new lease of life to what was quite a tired “limed” finish… firstly we protected all work-surfaces and flooring and degreased all substrates to be painted with our industrial grade degreasers from the Netherlands.
Once degreased, our attention turned to sanding – all surfaces to be painted with hard sanded, with our Dust Free Sanding System, back to the original oak substrate and coats of Pegaprim Isofix were applied followed by two to three coats of Tikkurila Helmi 30 (30% sheen level).
The finish now is a single, flat, colour that sits beautifully within the house.
We had a lot of fun working on this project – all of our best efforts and passion has translated beautifully into this project, our clients were quite rightly delighted with their “new” kitchen.\r\nd Kitchen
