That was the exact dilemma facing my clients when they moved into their lovely new home in Evesham, Worcestershirelast year. Sitting at the heart of the house was a beautifully made wooden kitchen originally installed back in 2008. Structurally, it was rock solid—the doors closed with a satisfying weight, the layout worked effortlessly, and the craftsmanship was clear to see. But after 15+ years of family life, the original finish had ambered into a heavier, golden-yellow tone that cast a shadow over the room and felt a world away from the bright, uplifting style the new owners envisioned.

It’s amazing how a simple hardware swap, paired with fresh paint, completely erases the decade and a half of history and makes the cabinetry feel brand new.
