Hand Painted Kitchen Clent - Worcestershire
Being Kitchen Painters or rather Hand Painted Kitchen Specialists, we encounter some really quite remarkable properties and kitchens. This particular Hand Painted Kitchen project was housed within an incredible Victorian family home that was undergoing a complete renovation in Clent, Worcestershire.We were initially contacted by the retailer and installers of this kitchen to find if we would be interested in completing the project with a Hand Painted finish.
The selected colour was an extremely deep shade of a dark green… the kitchen was supplied factory primed in a white Acid Catalyst finish. We knew that coverage was going to be crucially important – in all the project required three coats of our specialist oil based high adhesion primer and a further two coats of a water-based furniture specific finish.
As you can see from the photographs below, the finished colour looks incredible and is exactly what the Designer was hoping for! (Us too!!!).
We always prefer to the last “trade” of any new build kitchen project that we are part of, but sometimes we are governed by the schedule of the builders and clients, so this is not always possible.
In the photographs you will see that the builder’s Correx protection is still down on the floor and polythene sheeting is sealing doorways – building sites are extremely dusty environments, this is not ideal, but sometimes you just have to do your best to minimise the spread of dust and get on with the project. As it happened, the builders did a grand job for us and dust was kept to an minimum... still not an 100% ideal environment.
Further trades will still be working within this area once we left – we left full care instructions with our client and also made the builders aware that the paint required time to cure, so as to reach its full “strength” and durability.
The clients loved the finished project and were very happy to sign the sign-off sheet to say that the job was completed to required standard… always a happy moment.
