Hand Painted Kitchen Chelmarsh, Bridgnorth - Shropshire
We are never disappointed when driving around Bridgnorth and the surrounding area – wonderful scenery, exquisite buildings and outstanding landscapes and vistas. Our client’s cottage nestled within its own 6-acre woodland, in the picturesque village of Chelmarsh, and was simply chocolate-box perfect!Our clients contacted us, asking if we could help out and Hand Paint their kitchen; they had lived with it for several years and were in mind to replace or update somehow… after finding this website, they knew that they wanted their existing kitchen painted by us, rather than replacing – all the benefits of a brand new kitchen at a fraction of the cost and disruption to your life.
Although a small kitchen in quite a dark space, our clients liked the idea of a darker colour to complement their wooden worktops and “ping” against their red AGA… a Dark Lead colour was selected – quite brave (we like a brave client!) and new handles were recommended and sourced.
As this was originally a waxed substrate, extensive degreasing and preparation were undertaken; much dust-free sanding (99.9% dust-free sanding system) and several coats of primer and topcoat finishes were applied – 100% by brush; nothing sprayed here!!!
Once all of the painting was complete, doors and drawers refitted and new handles in place, a resounding “ta-dahhhh” could be heard ringing out across the treetops… what a little gem this kitchen has turned out to be – have a look at the photographs below, doesn’t that AGA look super smart!?
