This Traditional Painter project in Borough Green, near Droitwich in Worcestershire, is a great example of how a waxed kitchen can be transformed by Hand Painting.Our clients contacted us to ask if it was possible to paint their particular type of kitchen, as they were very happy with the way that it operated and it’s build quality, but didn’t want to replace it with a totally new.
Once we had reassured our clients that “anything is possible”, we undertook the project… the Pine substrate was extremely greasy with coats of wax and years of silicon spray cleaner. Our cleaning system manufactured by Fluxaf in the Netherlands, cut through the wax and grease with ease, ready for us to prepare the wooden surfaces with our “Dust-free” sanding system (99.9% dust extraction).
Base coats and topcoats of our preferred specialist kitchen and furniture paint were applied – expertly mixed by our suppliers into the chosen colour; a perfect match!
The completed project looks incredible; new handles are to be installed by the client at a later date, but in the meantime we painted the original handles in complimentary colours.
Our clients were extremely impressed by the way that we work and by the level of finish that we achieve. So much so that they have already recommended us to a number of their friends and neighbours!
