Hand Painted Kitchen Bayston Hill, Shropshire
This was a fabulous smaller, modular kitchen project in Bayston Hill near Shrewsbury in Shropshire.
I was recommended to my clients by her brother – I had completed quite a large Hand Painted Kitchen project for him a few years ago. (It’s always nice to be referred!).
My client had obviously seen Hand Painted Kitchens and thought that she would like to try and paint hers, herself. At this point, I would like to thank Instagram, TikTok and Social Media in general for the constant stream of enquiries to rectify kitchen painting projects that turned out to be a little more involved than wiping a cloth and sponging on paint… Who knew that to get a bespoke hand-painted kitchen, you need actual skill, experience, and the best possible materials!?
I was faced with a forest green kitchen that needed a complete repaint! I dismantled, sanded, prepared, primed, top-coated, and reassembled - my usual, tried, and tested process... not a paint sponge in sight...
The kitchen itself was in good order, perhaps a little tired here and there, but nothing that I haven’t seen before in over 25 years of kitchen painting. I matched the colour of my client’s Utility Room units and had my preferred furniture specific paint bases, tinted to the exact colour.
As you can see from the photographs below, the kitchen now looks very smart and will give many more years of use without the need for a total replacement.
I would like to thank our clients for making working on their kitchen such a pleasure, It was a wonderfully calm environment and was greeted with a hot cup of coffee each morning (very important!!!).
